Miranda Lambert - The House That Built Me

Ok, I am going to get a little sappy. Travis and I and his family just went to the Oregon Jamboree in Sweet Home a couple of weeks ago and saw Miranda Lambert play. We had such a blast and would love to continue to go back every year to escape reality of life. LOL I knew her a little bit but had never heard this one song called "The House that Built Me". I sat there at the concert listening to Miranda play and actually listening to the words and I cried my eyes out. Now having to move to Portland this song is helping me get through these tough times for some reason and I just love this song!! I am sure everyone could relate to this song and if you are sappy like me you will cry listening to the words. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Love you all and we appreciate your love and support with the hard decisions our family is having to face.

I LOVE this song too!!! You should also check out an older Leanne Rhymes song called "What I cannot Change"...it helped me through some tough times. Love you, thinking of you and praying for you guys.

What a NEAT song!! It reminded me of when your dad and I went into a house in Springfield, Ohio that your Grandpa Payne built and we lived in until I was in 3rd grade and before we moved to Lawrenceville in the country. It was several years ago when we were there for Grandpa's funeral and decided to stop in and see the 'ole place. Lots of words in the song are true about visiting one's childhood home(s) and other homes that we live in during our lives. They all hold sweet memories. Our love and prayers and thoughts are with you all during this time. It will work out just fine. Life is full of changes. Let the tears come as it is just a part of grieving over these changes. Know you'll always have your beautiful smile on your face. There are wonderful memories awaiting you and your family in this adventure to Portland and lots of new friends. Glad your parents have their camper. : ) And we're so glad you have this blog!! we'll be able to keep in touch and see those wonderful children of yours grow. Love to all, Aunt Becky and Uncle John
